KidZania India enters National Capital Region with the country’s second facility

New Delhi 12th Oct 2015(Sana Sayed): In what is slated to be one of the largest edutainment theme parks in Asia, KidZania India is set to launch its second facility in Delhi NCR, come early 2016.  India’s first centre, KidZania Mumbai recently completed 24 months of operations, hosting 850,000+ visitors and 36 brand partnerships to date. 

KidZania Delhi NCR will be located at the Entertainment City in Noida which is a 147 acre development housing the largest retail and entertainment destination in the region. KidZania Delhi NCR will be a standalone structure across 3 levels and 97,000sq.ft.  

The KidZania India franchise rights are owned by ImagiNation Edutainment Pvt. Ltd. Actor, Shah Rukh Khan owns a 26% stake in the company in his personal capacity. The remaining 74% of ImagiNation Edutainment India Pvt. Ltd. is owned by Singapore-based KidZ Inc. whose shareholders are Comcraft Group, Xander Group and Maxfield Management Ltd.

Built like a city for children, KidZania, the world-over is the fastest growing indoor edutainment theme park that makes learning fun. Across its 20 facilities globally, KidZania emulates the workings of a real city but built to scale for children with paved roads, battery-operated vehicles, buildings, a functioning economy and its own currency.  

Based on the philosophy of providing real–life experiences, KidZania empowers, inspires, motivates and educates children through the 90+ role-playing activities based on replicas of real-world industries and services including, entertainment, airline, automobile, retail, restaurants, factories and other private and public services. (Culinary school and Energy Conservation Hub), Pepperfry (Furniture studio and Lounge), Zespri Kiwifruit (quality control and inspection hub), Shiamak (Dance studio), Big Bazaar (Supermarket), E-Zone (Electronics store), Amity University (University), Kellogg’s Chocos (Cereal factory) and Furtados School of Music (Music School). Brands that have forged new ties with KidZania Delhi NCR include Frooti (Mango drink factory), Kinder Joy (Chocolate factory) and Amiown (Pre-school).

India’s largest FMCG Company Parle Products sets up first kids Parle G Factory

The partnership will aid kids in stepping higher on the
ladder of nutrition by helping them understand
the making of Parle-G biscuits.
 

Mumbai 10th Sep 2015(Sana Sayed): Parle Products, India’s largest Food Company, today announced its partnership with KidZania Mumbai, a Global Indoor Theme park that inspires, educates & empowers children, helping them understand & manage their world better.

The collaboration has established first Kids Parle G factory in KidZania Mumbai. The Parle G factory experience at KidZania will allow kids to have first-hand experience of various biscuit making processes. This will help kids to understand and appreciate how their favourite Biscuit is made by Parle Products.

The process involves measuring the wheat and sugar in two beakers which will be given to the kids. They will experience how to operate a flywheel and flatten the dough, post which they would be trained in pulling the lever to bring down the molding and cutting dye. Training kids on baking, cooling and packaging processes will also be covered at the establishment. Kids will also perform a nutrition test on the Parle-G biscuits and will scale the size of the biscuit to check if it fits the particular standard laid down for the biscuits. This popular household biscuit at KidZania Mumbai is a step closer to teaching kids the intricacies involved in its production and thus will enhance the cognitive, psychomotor and emotional skills of kids.

As a part of its consumer engagement program, Parle aims to provide first-of- its kind experience that will allow kids to understand the procedure of biscuit making as well as form a closer bond with the brand.

ZESPRI INTERNATIONAL SETS UP A KIWIFRUIT QUALITY CONTROL& INSPECTION HUB ESTABLISHMENT AT KIDZANIA

Mumbai 9th Sep 2015(Sana Sayed): Zespri International, the world’s largest kiwifruit manufacturer, has partnered with KidZania Mumbai, a Global Indoor Theme park empowers children, helping them understand & manage their world better. With this partnership, kids can now actively engage at the Quality Control & Inspection Hub establishment in the KidZania Mumbai facility.

This association between Zespri and KidZania will allow children to play the role of Kiwifruit Nutrition Experts and check the Nutrition Content in the 30-nutrient-filled Kiwifruit. Kids would be trained to undertake various tests such as Nutrition Analysis, Weight Test, and Sorting. Thereafter, they would package the same for delivery. Every child will also receive delicious Kiwifruit as part of a giveaway at the end of the activity. There are two varieties of kiwifruit – The tangy Zespri Green Kiwifruit and the sweet Zespri SunGold Kiwifruit.

KidZania Mumbai, to honour the Mumbai Police, this Raksha Bandhan

KidZania took kids along & tied rakhis to the Mumbai Police across 8 centers in the city as a token of gratitude for their relentless service to the city




Mumbai 29th Aug 2015(Sana Sayed): KidZania Mumbai launched its “Aamche Police Campaign” to express its gratitude to the Mumbai Police.



In the true spirit of the festival of Raksha Bandhan, kids from across the city visited KidZania Mumbai this month to make rakhis. Post this, these children along with the kids of Teach for India, visited over 500 policemen across the city to tie Rakhis yesterday, August 28, 2015, symbolizing their appreciation for the men-in-khaki. On the 29th of August (today), the KidZania Mumbai CounZil members visited the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Rakesh Maria and tied him a Rakhi as well.
Just as the custom for Raksha Bandhan goes, the police officers were very pleased by this gesture and even arranged for sweets for the children who tied those rakhis, with some of them contributing in their own way towards the cause of education championed by the kids. In addition to this, policemen also conducted a special session for the kids on self-defense and encouraged girls to be more vigilant and confident about their safety. Thus, indirectly spreading the message that by taking such actions they could make this a better world for themselves!
